RUN FOR FUN at Wakehurst’s new Willow 8k

We are delighted to announce the launch of our first-ever running event – the Wakehurst Willow.  Taking place on Wednesday 20th July 2016, the 8k run will start at 7.15pm giving entrants exclusive after-hours access to our stunning grounds.

Safe (off-road) but on good paths and tracks; scenic – passing through rich and varied landscapes and suitable for a wide range of abilities with hills, descents and on the flat, the Wakehurst Willow offers something for everyone. Race contestants can also feel good that they will be raising funds as well as their fitness levels with a percentage of their entry being donated to Crohn’s and Colitis UK.

All finishers will receive a bespoke medal.  In addition, the first two males and females will each receive a one-year ‘Friends of Wakehurst’ membership, giving them unlimited visits to Wakehurst and the opportunity to visit Kew Gardens for free!

After the race you will be able to grab a coffee at the Stables restaurant whilst the results are processed.

Entry fee is £10 (£8 for Friends of Wakehurst)
Race limit is 300
Minimum age is 16 on the day
