In 2016 we celebrated the 10th anniversary of our full & half marathon event by adding a 5km run for those who want to join in but don't have the time to train for a long distance event. This proved so popular that we have kept it in the programme for this year. Overall our event is licensed by Uk Athletics and has received the Gold award from the British Association of Road Races(BARR).
This event is especially aimed at runners who want to raise money for charity and get some exercise without rigourous amounts of training beforehand. It is also suitable for serious runners returning to running after an injury or lay-off.
The minimum age for competing is 11 years old on the day, so it is also ideal for families to be involved.
A limited number of entries will be allowed on the day but by leaving your entry until the day itself you run a real risk of not making it to the start line and being unable to complete the run. So we urge you to enter well in advance to avoid disappointment.
PLEASE NOTE: All entrants that are between the ages of 11-17 years of age on the day of the race must complete a parental consent form. This also applies if running with a parent or guardian.
