Getting Winter Training Right
Cycle Coaching Evening - Tuesday 7th November - 7pm - 9.30pm
How should we train over the winter period? It's only five months until the next event so what's wrong with putting our feet up and will it really matter if we do?
Do you ever wonder about how to train over the winter period? If so, then this presentation and demonstration is for you. Learn about some of the key areas of training theory and explore how to train over the winter to achieve the results you want for next season.
The evening will be divided into two sections: firstly, a presentation on training theory with explanations of what different methods of training achieves. After a short break, the second part of the evening will feature a demonstration with further explanations of training methods. Finally, we will conclude with a question and answer section.
Applications such as turbo training with zwift and similar platforms will be discussed, along with aspects such as:
Night rides and training efficency
Group riding and training effect
Targetted ergometer workouts
Objective focussed training
Plus other interconnected areas.
The demonstration part of the evening will include aspects of bikefit, cadence and muscle specificity training.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available before the event and during the break. The evening is expected to finish at 9.30pm.
