Entries are now open for the annual Brianplant Sting in the Tail 10k Race!

The 8th annual outing for our increasingly popular "Sting" 10K race. This year's race will take place on Sunday 7th July 2019 at 10am and will, for the first time ever, feature chip timing.

The event is hosted by Caistor Running Club and is run in and around the lovely Georgian Market town of Caistor. The first 7km is fairly flat and fast with stunning views of the Lincolnshire countryside, with the last 3km taking a more challenging undulating theme. The finish line is set in the town’s beautiful, historic market place.

Building on the success of last year’s sell-out race, CRC are hoping to attract the biggest field yet to take on the 10k course.

The race is well known locally for its carnival atmosphere and friendly marshals but if that’s not enough to tempt you into lacing up your trainers then how about a free Lincolnshire sausage and beer at the finish line to push you through to the live music at the end?

A true highlight in the Caistor calendar, the race is held alongside the ‘Caistor Goes…’ events and makes for a great weekend of family entertainment.

The 'iconic' Sting vest is available to all participants.

Race registration and number collection is based at the Town Hall. The start line is approximately a 5 minute walk from here.

Ample car parking is provided at the Caistor Yarborough School and at the Caistor Sports and Social Club, please follow signs on the day.
