North East Region Half-term Training May 2019 Only 38 days to go!
Training session for young athletes from the North-East region. This is aimed at the T2 and T3 age groups - experienced T1 athletes are also welcome to attend.
Registration will be from 1.30pm, with the session running from 2pm to 5pm.
The afternoon will include bike skills, running and finish with an open water swim. The session will also include transition skills and brick runs (i.e., running off the bike).
Required kit - Please ensure the athletes have sufficient kit to cope with all weather conditions. Athletes will need bikes and helmets, kit for cycling and running in, plus open water swim kit (wetsuit, towel, goggles, swim hat, swimming costume) plus warm kit for between sessions.
The athletes should be self-sufficient on their bikes, e.g., they should have adequate tools for puncture repairs, etc. as well as carrying a water bottle on the bike and a snack in their back pocket.
Although the sessions will be focused on skill development, it's a long session so please make sure the athletes have sufficient food and drink.
