The course will commence on Thursday 25th April 6.30pm meeting at Baysgarth School.
9 week course run by UKA qualified run leaders to help newcomers to running achieve the goal of a 5 kilometre run.
Cost £15 with a £15 discount on your first year’s club membership fee if you decided to join us.
What is Couch to 5K?
Couch to 5K is a running plan for absolute beginners. It was developed by a new runner, Josh Clark, who wanted to help his fifty-something mum get off the couch and start running, too.
The plan involves 3 runs a week, with a day of rest in between, and we will be using the NHS program and full details can be found on the link below.
Each week we will lead a session on a Monday and Thursday night and you will be expected to complete the 3rd run on the Saturday on your own or with other members of the group arranged by yourselves.
The course will commence at Baysgarth School Thursday 25th April at 18:30, meeting in the main car park near the storage containers. The Monday night session will be in Baysgarth Park, meeting outside the leisure centre at 18:30.
You will need to wear clothing suitable for walking/jogging along with a pair of trainers. Hopefully the weather will be kind so don’t forget to bring a bottle of water.
On arrival on the first Thursday just ask any of the other club members to point you in the direct of Phil.
