Welcome to Long Crendon Steeple to Steeple Challenge
Thanks to everyone who entered the first Steeple to Steeple Challenge on Sunday 11 June 2017. We'll be back next year!
We would appreciate any reviews you can give us on racing websites and social media–and please let us know if there are any ways we can improve the event next year by emailing the race director, Ed Chipperfield.
The 2017 course began at St Mary's Church in Long Crendon, following footpaths past historic Notley Abbey to St Nicholas' church in Chearsley and back again past the River Thame. This was a challenging course, almost entirely off-road, withnarrow sections, stiles, ditches, bridges, a level crossing and several steep hills.
Photos taken by Barry Cornelius are available to view and download for free at his OxonRaces site–please include the credit "Photo by Barry Cornelius" if sharing them somewhere public.
All proceeds from the Long Crendon Steeple to Steeple Challenge are donated to the Long Crendon School PTA to help fund our local school and support local children.
