You might not have entered, or even heard of, a virtual race before. While the race itself may be virtual we do expect the running to be real! To successfully complete this event you must run or walk a minimum distance of 5 kilometres on either 28th, 29th or 30th May (the Spring Bank Holiday weekend in the United Kingdom). You do not have to run on all three days!
All entrants will receive a race medal on submission of evidence of your run.
Evidence can be
- a photo showing the screen of your Garmin or running app or similar
- a copy of the .gpx or .fit or .tcx or whatever file your running device produces
- a copy of, or link to, the race results if you ran your virtual race as part of a real event
- email confirmation from your running partners if you ran as a group
Evidence can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org
Everyone who enters and submits evidence of the run will receive a medal in the post.
We also have some fantastic sponsors who are offering prizes to participants. Winners will be selected at random from those who have submitted evidence of their run. To save on postage, and therefore raise more money for the Dr Hadwen Trust, prizes may need to be substituted for non-UK participants.
