Event Information

The Steeple to Steeple Challenge starts in the High Street of Long Crendon, where the Church bells of St Mary's will start our runners off at 10:30am. The course takes runners off-road between Long Crendon and Chearsley, passing the historic Notley Abbey. Marshals at the steeple of St Nicholas' church in Chearsley will give runners a stamp before sending them back to Long Crendon. Racers will finish outside St Mary's, with a 12:30pm cut-off time for stragglers!

How to enter

Registration, first aid, bag drop and refreshments will all be at Church House on the High Street of Long Crendon, open at 9:00am. Registration ends at 10:00am.

Safety

This is a challenging course that is as much a steeplechase as the name suggests. Almost entirely off-road, it follows public footpaths through working farmland, so expect narrow sections, stiles, ditches, bridges, a level crossing and several steep hills. A pre-race briefing will explain course safety in detail on the day. Marshals will be present along the course, so please follow their instructions to keep runners safe.
