This is the re-scheduled Stathern Duathlon which was posponed from March as a result of the 'Beast from the East'.
This race takes place in the beautiful countryside in the Vale of Belvoir. The run is a flat out and back and the bike route is undulating (with stunning views!) following the top of the escarpment, passing the beautiful Belvoir castle before returning to Stathern and finishing with a repeat of the 1st run.
The event raises funds to provide quality sports coaching opportunities for young people in the village, and surrounding area, and we also donate money to a charity partner, which for our 2018 event will be Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance..
Team entries available this year! Teams can be made up of two or three persons and each person completes one or two segements of the duathlon handing over their number during transition.
We are awarding prizes in the following categories:- 1st Male, 1st Female, 1st Team, 1st Veteran (over 50 on Race Day) and a new award for this year KOM (King of the Mountain) as you will be timed climbing Mill Hill.
All other details can be found on the event website.
