The race HQ is at Stamford Bridge Sports Hall (postcode YO41 1DG). This is directly behind the Old Station Club on Church Road.
Free parking is available at a few locations but is extremely limited. These car parks can be found at the Sports Hall, Village Hall, Vets, 3 Cups Pub, Junior School and Viking Road. If our car parks become full then please show consideration for local residents when parking elsewhere and please avoid the race route. Competitors who use the car parks do so at their own risk.
Toilets and showers are located at race HQ. There are no toilets on the route.
Baggage can be left at race HQ but is left at your own risk. Please label any baggage.
YorMed will be providing first aid support for the event.
No MP3s/music players or headphones. This is for the safety of all runners. Any runner wearing these will be disqualified.
Please use the old railway viaduct path to warm up rather than on public roads, but please wait until the childrens race is finished.
Marshals will direct runners to the start line before 10am, with the faster runners at the front of the pack.
There will be a water station at 5km in High Catton. Please dispose of your cup to the side of the road as quickly as possible to avoid excessive littering along route. If you are using energy gels, please dispose of your wrapper at marshal points only.
The course has a rolling road closure in place for the event, please keep left throughout and obey all marshal instructions. There will be a sweep vehicle behind the last runner. If you require assistance during the race please contact any marshal.
There is a time limit of 1 hour 30 minutes to complete the race. If you cannot finish in this time, please advise a marshal or the sweep vehicle. All marshals and timing mats will be withdrawn at 11.30am, after which no times will be recorded. The rolling road closure is in place until 11.30am, this means that any runners who have not made half way in 45 minutes will be on the road at your own risk and we cannot accept any responsibilty for your safety.
At the finish line water will be provided and you will be given a race souvenir.
Prize presentation will take place at the finish area at 11.30am and individual results will be posted on the website.
Stamford Bridge Primary School volunteers will be serving refreshments during and after the event.
We wish you a successful race and run your best!
