This event is a fell race is held in accordance with the rules of the Fell Runners Association and is subject to the conditions of a permit issued by them.
The fell race is categorised as an A long, 23km distance and 1300m of ascent.
Registration will open at 09:00 and close at 10:45am.
The start will be a 10 minute walk from the Race Registration
The finish will be at the Village Hall, Chop Gate.

Pre-entry only: £10.00 (Online, or by post to the Race Organiser using FRA Entry Form). All entries must be received by the Race Organiser by 8th March 2020.
No entry on day.
Entry Limit: A total of 200 competitorsPrizes for first males/females in each age category and also for first team of 3 runners.

NG - GPS not allowed
ER - Fell Running Experience Required
LK - Local Knowledge advantageous
NS - Navigation Skills required, the course will NOT be marked
Kit - FRA Mandatory Minimum Kit required to be worn/carried by ALL competitors: waterproof whole body cover (with taped seams and integrated attached hood) + hat + gloves + map + compass + whistle + emergency food (map must be on paper, compass must be conventional non-electronic type).
Any competitor found not carrying full kit will be disqualified.
The following time cut-off will apply: Checkpoint CP3 will close at 12:30 (90 mins into the race) - any competitor reaching CP3 after the cut-off time will be categorised as DNF and directed back to the Start/Finish venue.
