Our DisclaimerREGISTRATION Every participant must complete a registration form and ensure contact details are accurate in the case of an emergency. All event information will be provided on line. It is the participantís responsibility to check for details and updates periodically. Entrants must be a minimum of 15 years of age on the day of the race. Entrants under 16 will be required to ask their parents/legal guardian to sign an additional consent form. Please ensure you are provide an accurate estimation of your time as this will determine where you are placed at the start to ensure you are with other runners of a similar pace. REFUNDS The entry fee for the Run for Pounds 10K is non transferable and non refundable. Due to unexpected health & safety issues on the day (such as flooding of the River) the Run for Pounds10K may have to be reduced/altered to accommodate any unexpected complications. THE EVENT The event will start at 9am. Runners will be placed into groups of similar ability. Please note that this will not affect individualís times as the event will be using a chip timing system which will time you from when you cross the start line till when you cross the finish. You will be required to pick up your race number and timing chip before the start. So please ensure you give yourself sufficient time to register before the start time. SWEEP A sweep vehicle will travel from the start after the last competitor has crossed the start line. This vehicle will travel at 18 minutes per mile. Should you fall behind the sweep vehicle you will be deemed to be off the course and must run on the footpaths and will be responsible for your own safety for the duration of your run including any road crossings. Traffic restrictions will be lifted on roads once the sweep vehicle has passed. HEALTH & FITNESS We strongly advise that you train for this event. Training plans are available from our partners Kirklees Active Leisure. If you have a medical condition you must declare this when you register. If you do not currently engage in regular physical activity please seek your GPís advice before entering. LIABILITY The Run for Pounds 10K is operated by Huddersfield Town Football Club, and all participants take part at their own risk. Neither Huddersfield Town, its partners, or sponsors accept responsibility for any loss, injury or damage suffered by any participant personally or to their property as a result of participating in the Run for Pounds 10k in the absence of negligence or breach of statutory duty on the part of Huddersfield Town or its partners and sponsors. SPONSORSHIP The Run for Pounds 10k is an exclusive fundraising event as part of the Keep it Up campaign which is raising money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the Huddersfield Town Academy. Sponsorship monies raised may not be shared or given to any other organisation. Participants are advised they have a legal responsibility to ensure all monies and donations received are paid to the Keep It Up Campaign by 30 April 2012. ROUTE SPECIFIC RULES The route from start to finish will be marshalled by a dedicated road management company. For the safety of yourself and others participants at all times must abide with the instructions of police/marshals around the course even if this means stopping. I or my parent/guardian accept and agree that neither the organisers nor officials, land owners, sponsors and fellow competitors shall be liable in any way, or in any circumstances, for damages or injuries I may suffer during this event.
