Our DisclaimerBy entering the Fambridge Yacht Haven Half Iron Triathlon I declare that: - I fully understand that I enter the event at my own risk and that the organisers of the race and the officials appointed by them, shall under no circumstances be liable for any property damage, property theft, illness, injury, death, damage or loss sustained in the course of, or in connection with this event. - I am fully responsible for my own safety. - I agree to abide by the rules and regulations laid down by The British Triathlon Federation and it is my responsibility to learn these rules. - I will use a BTF approved cycle helmet, wetsuit and adequate clothing at the event. - I will abide by the Highway Code and rules of the road and not put myself or anyone else in danger. Please note that the event is run on public roads and footpaths. - I agree to the use of my image by Dengie Events for promotional purposes. - I will not participate unless I am fit to do the event. - I will not participate if I am feeling unwell or am recovering from illness. - I declare that I will be at minimum 19 years of age on 31 December 2014. - I declare that I have filled in the form clearly and correctly. The race organisers reserve the right to change the course and any aspect of the event without prior notice. The race organisers also reserve the right to stop any individual from starting or finishing the race for any reason.
Our Refund Policy
As soon as you enter the event your entry fee will be invested into the cost of staging the event. It is therefore impossible for us to offer a full refund if you pull out of the event (although we will do our best). If you withdraw 112 days or more before the event you are entitled to 75% of your race entry fee. If you withdraw 29 days or more before the event you are entitled to 50% of your race entry fee. If you withdraw 28 days or less before the event we regret that you are not entitled to a refund and will be unable to transfer your entry as your entry fee will have been fully spent on staging the event. If you do wish to withdraw for whatever reason, please notify us immediately by emailing email@example.com. In the event of a Force Majeure, Dengie Events will not be liable for any refunds or recompense. "Force Majeure" means an act of God including but not limited to fire, flood, earthquake, windstorm or other natural disaster; act of any sovereign including but not limited to war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power or confiscation, nationalisation, requisition, destruction or damage to property by or under the order of any government or public or local authority or imposition of government sanction embargo or similar action; terrorism; law, judgment, order, decree, embargo, blockade, labour dispute including but not limited to strike, lockout or boycott; interruption or failure of utility service including but not limited to electric power, gas, water or telephone service; failure of the transportation of any personnel, equipment, machinery supply or material required by Dengie Events for the provision of services pursuant to this Agreement; breach of contract by any essential personnel or any other matter or cause beyond the control of Dengie Events.
