Runners everywhere share a common goal: to improve their performance. Whether they are casual joggers or competitive athletes, the desire to enhance their running experience is universal. With the Nike+ Running App, more runners can now track their progress, find motivation, and enjoy the benefits of being part of a global community, whether they prefer using a watch or a smartphone, in the gym or on the open road.
Nike has announced new partnerships with leading companies such as Garmin, TomTom, Wahoo Fitness, and Netpulse. These collaborations will enable more runners to connect their preferred devices and fitness equipment, allowing them to fully experience the advantages of being a member of the Nike+ community.
Since its launch in 2006, Nike+ Running has empowered millions of athletes to track, measure, share, and compare their runs with a worldwide community, encouraging smarter and more frequent running. The Nike+ Running App serves as a coach, running companion, and cheering squad, offering training programs, real-time audio feedback, and tools to track and celebrate progress. With these new partnerships, runners globally have even more opportunities to engage with the Nike+ Running community.
Adam Roth, VP of Nike Global Running Brand Marketing, stated, “Whether it’s an athlete’s first or fastest run, Nike+ has been there to provide inspiration and information to motivate all runners. By partnering with industry leaders like Garmin, TomTom, Wahoo Fitness, and Netpulse, we can now extend these experiences to even more runners, regardless of their location or preferred device.”
Enhanced Connectivity and Features
The evolution of the Nike+ Running App introduces users to new and innovative ways to utilize GPS watches, heart rate monitors, and connected gym equipment, ensuring every run is impactful:
- Garmin is renowned for its expertise in navigation and GPS watch technology.
- TomTom, a long-time Nike partner, is a globally recognized provider of GPS Sport Watches.
- Wahoo Fitness is a pioneer in smartphone fitness technology, offering heart rate monitors and other fitness sensors.

The updated Nike+ Running App simplifies the process of pairing with these new partners. Upon updating or downloading the app, users will encounter a “Partners” screen.
